Brașov shines green in honor of Brazil

Brașov marked its friendship with Brazil today through a striking gesture visible across the city: the landmark Brașov sign was illuminated in green, one of Brazil’s national colors.

Set against the night sky above the city, the green display offered a proud and highly visible tribute to Brazil. It also reflected Brașov’s growing role in strengthening relations between Brazil and Romania.

The illumination comes during a special period for the Brazilian community and friends of Brazil in Romania, following the National Day reception held in Bucharest on 16 September. Together, these moments celebrate not only Brazil’s national identity, but also the people, institutions and local communities building closer connections between the two countries.

The Honorary Consulate of Brazil in Brașov warmly thanks the Municipality of Brașov for this meaningful gesture. Seeing the city’s name illuminated in green is a memorable symbol of friendship, respect and a shared commitment to an even stronger relationship between Brașov and Brazil.
